www.store.thinkhavana.com uses SSL encryption through Paypal during the checkout process to secure your credit card and personal information.
ThinkHAVANA.com does not store credit card information. Any credit card information is entered in Paypal's secure site at time of checkout.
A few simple rules to make your web shopping on any website a pleasant experience...
1 - Do not enter your credit card information in any form unless you see the little image of a closed padlock in the lower right corner of your browser window. It is NOT secure.
2 - Do not enter your credit card information in any site that does not use https:// in the first part of the address when entering credit card information. The "s" signifies that the ssl running and your information should be encrypted.
3 - Do not enter your information an any website that you feel might not be legitimate especially if you recieved the link to it in unsolicited email commonly known as spam.
4 - Do check for a security certificate, it should tell you who you will be sending the credit card information to. You can do this by double clicking on the little padlock image. You should see a box open that will tell you who the certificate belongs to and the site it belongs to. If the site does not match the site name that you are on, do not enter your credit card information. Contact the certificate authority that issued the certificate.
FOR YOUR PROTECTION, DO NOT SHOP ON SITES THAT DO NOT USE ENCRYPTION! ENCRYPTING YOUR INFORMATION IS REQUIRED BY THE CREDIT CARD COMPANIES!
DO NOT EMAIL YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER TO ANYONE! EMAIL IS NOT SECURE!
